Snapdemy ("Snapdemy", "we", "us") provides an app that turns photos of worksheets and study material into answers, flashcards, quizzes, summaries, and other study aids. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Snapdemy mobile apps and related services.
1. Information we collect
- Account. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive a user ID and typically your email address, name, and profile photo from that provider. You can use the app as a guest without signing in.
- Guest identifier. If you use the app without an account, we create a random installation ID on your device so your content can be saved and later linked to an account if you sign in.
- Age information. We collect an age range (child, teen, or adult) to confirm you meet the minimum age and to provide an age-appropriate experience. If you enter your date of birth, it is stored on your device; our servers receive only the resulting age range.
- Your content. The images, PDFs, web links, and text you submit, and the study material generated from them (for example answers, flashcards, quizzes, summaries, chat messages, and audio). We keep the collected study media (such as photos) for up to 60 days and generated material until you or we delete it.
- Purchase information. If you buy Snapdemy Plus, we receive subscription status and transaction identifiers from the app store and our payments provider. We do not receive your full payment card details.
2. How we use information
- Provide, operate, and improve the app and its features.
- Generate study material from what you submit.
- Maintain your account, subscription, and content across your devices.
- Detect abuse, enforce our limits and Terms, and keep the service secure.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to your requests.
3. AI processing
To generate answers and study material, the content you submit (such as worksheet photos or text) is sent to third-party AI model providers for processing. This is necessary to provide the feature you request. We do not use your content to train our own models, and we do not allow providers to use it for advertising.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run Snapdemy, and only as needed:
- Google — sign-in and cloud storage.
- Apple — sign-in and App Store purchases.
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- AI model providers — generation of study material from your content.
- Hosting providers — servers and infrastructure that store and process data.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.
5. Retention
We keep information for as long as your account or guest session is active and as needed to provide the service. Collected study media is retained for up to 60 days. You can delete worksheets and other content in the app at any time. You can also delete your account and the data associated with it directly in the app (Account → Delete account), or request deletion by email (see "Your rights" below). When you delete your account, your account and its associated content — worksheets, study material, chats, and generated material — are permanently removed.
6. Children
Snapdemy is not available to children under 13. During onboarding we check your age, and users who do not meet the minimum age cannot create an account or continue using the app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can delete your account and its associated data directly in the app under Account → Delete account, or exercise your other rights by emailing us at [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
8. Security and international transfers
We use encryption in transit and other safeguards to protect your information. Our application servers are hosted in the European Union. Some of our providers (such as Google and AI model providers) may process data in other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
